And a perfect experience was what we had when working with Karen & Richy, a young Chinese couple, on their wonderful fall season wedding day just this past October 8th, 2017 in a gorgeous ceremony, reception and celebration held at The Manor in Kettleby, Ontario; a lovely hamlet in King township, just a stone’s throw away from Toronto and a first visit to the gorgeous venue for our planners and coordinators. A genuine adventure and quite a trek for our planners and coordinators, what truly made the day worth it would be witnessing the beginning of the next stage of Karen & Richy’s lives together. And playing a part in creating an absolutely magical memory for a truly unforgettable couple. So join us as we recall the truly special time our planners and coordinators had in working with Karen & Richy on their long-awaited wedding day. With a review of Karen & Richy’s special choice in a beautiful Ontario countryside wedding day venue, and a style summary of our planners and coordinators’ style and theme choices for Karen & Richy’s unforgettable fall-season wedding day.
Planning and coordinating Karen & Richy’s wedding day began on a stunning October morning, with our planners and coordinators making their way to the bride’s home in Thornhill for both bride & groom’s morning preparations. Alongside that, our planners and coordinators arranged for the floral display, bouquets and other assorted aesthetic additions to arrive at The Manor in Kettleby for the wedding day setup session. From the morning’s preparations for both bride and groom, the meet-and-greet with parents and relatives, the traditional Chinese tea ceremony, and the magical and memorable adventure from the walk down the aisle to the wee hours of the night, all of it combined made planning and coordinating Karen & Richy’s wonderful fall-season wedding day an absolute delight for our planners and coordinators. And with a bright October sky, the turning of the leaves, and a beautiful ceremony and celebration shared between family and friends, planning and coordinating Karen & Richy’s Chinese wedding was an absolute spectacular experience; even our star planner and coordinator Rainbow Chan was a bridesmaid for the star couple’s wedding day entourage!

For the wondrous fall-season wedding day to begin the couple’s bright future together, Karen & Richy had chosen an intimate Ontario countryside getaway for their wedding locale; The Manor in Kettleby, Ontario, a remarkable little hamlet in King township, and a small trek just west of Newmarket and north of Toronto. Boasting a spacious 34,000 square feet of event space, three separate event rooms, and surrounded by the beautiful Ontario countryside, The Manor was a splendid selection for Karen & Richy. The choice would be a particularly novel and exciting one for our planners and coordinators as well, being a first for us here at Rainbow Chan weddings to venture to The Manor, which outperformed our expectations splendidly. Being a fall-season wedding, the outdoor scenery and spacious ambiance complimented Karen & Richy’s style choices well.
And finally, we look back at our planners and coordinators’ thematic and stylistic direction for Karen & Richie’s wedding day, what made our work on the beloved newlyweds’ unforgettable day truly unforgettable. Our design choice for Karen & Richie revolved around the interplay of natural themes and the energy brought together by the couple’s shared Chinese heritage and culture. To that effect, our planners and coordinators had selected an austere colour palette centred on deep lavender textures, lush greenery, demure blue, and playful peach. Reflected in the couple’s chosen bouquets and floral arrangements, with lilac petals lining their wedding aisle, the wedding day’s colour palette was elegant and lively; a combination of classiness and playfulness. Given the gorgeous autumn atmosphere provided by The Manor’s countryside location, our planners and coordinators had chosen to contrast these beautiful fall colours with a bright and clean layout for the couple’s formal ceremony and celebration. Fashioning lily white and turquoise to compliment the deepest hues of royal blue and lavender, the bridal party’s style fit well with The Manor’s bright and brilliant interior. Karen’s gown for the evening’s celebrations as well was an ode to the couple’s Chinese heritage; a fierce red dress that would be the centrepiece to the newlywed couple’s evening. Altogether, with many inspirational sources in play, and an energetic bridal party to put life to our themes and styles, Karen & Richie’s wedding was a true ode to what makes it all worth it for our planners and coordinators.
And with that, we here at Rainbow Chan Weddings and Events, Toronto’s premier wedding planners and coordinators, had an absolutely wonderful time with Karen & Richie in planning and coordinating their unforgettable wedding day ceremony and celebration. Our planners and coordinators were immensely honored to play a part in Karen & Richie’s wedding day; both in planning and coordinating as well as for Rainbow Chan, being a bridesmaid! All in all, we were glad to have been able to express ourselves through our design choices for the bride and groom, and we hope that our work with Karen & Richie on their lovely wedding day will always remind them of what a magical day it had been, the first day of their lives together.
