Rainbow Chan Weddings had the honor to plan Master Chef’s talented Christopher Siu’s wedding with his lovely bride Angela. The two met at the University of Toronto during an interprofessional education workshop while Angela was in her first week of pharmacy school, and Chris was beginning his third year as a preceptor, mentoring first-year pharmacy students. Chris was captivated by her beauty from the first moment he saw her and wrote down her name from her form; she soon received a Facebook invite from him. From that moment, their everlasting love story was just beginning. It wasn’t long before Christopher had meticulously planned the utmost romantic proposal in 2019 at Dragon’s Back trail in Hong Kong where a photographer would meet the love birds at the peak of the trail, overlooking the stunning vista of Big Wave Bay. This made for a deeply romantic moment that they would certainly remember forever. It’s stories like this that persistently inspires our team here at Rainbow Chan Weddings to continue bringing to life the dreamlike vision couples have for their special day to create memories they will always happily reminisce.
Held at Edgewater Manor, a stunning restaurant on the shore of Lake Ontario, on September 26, 2021, was Angela and Christopher’s unforgettable wedding ceremony. The couple had envisioned their wedding with great Chinese heritage representation and hoped for a tropical island ambiance. This venue space not only consists of breathtaking scenery but allows the guests to feel as though they are on an island escape and provides stunning photo backdrops. With this venue space, our team successfully achieved the outcome the couple had hoped for. The vibrant greenery, crystal blue water and exquisite decor put together by our devoted team including a color palette of blush pink, peach, champagne and red, all contributed to the successful outcome of the wedding ceremony as well as the cocktail hour and traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Angela and Christopher’s traditional Chinese wedding brought about the east meets west theme.
Angela and Christopher’s wedding day began hours before sunrise. With our wedding planners and coordinators arriving on-site bright and early to ensure every aspect of the day ahead proceeds effectively as planned, the bride and groom were able to enjoy themselves as they got ready for their big day with no worries about the behind the scenes preparations. As the bride and groom arrived separately at the venue, the proficient photographer Liza Litnovich began capturing every detail of the day from the wedding invitations to the venue space, jewelry details and all else, with each photo taking a part in telling the story of their wedding day. Shortly before the ceremony, the cake arrived onsite. The cake was made specially from the Daan Go bakery, owned by the groom himself which made for more sentimentality.
From the very beginning of the wedding day to their send off as husband and wife, the day was of consistent romance, having their guests in awe of the love portrayed between the two. Highlights of the night made for incomparable heartwarming moments. From the bride making her mesmerizing entrance to the exchange of their vows, the signing of the marriage license and their intimate first dance to “Can’t Help Falling In love”, every highlight of the day was a genuine reflection of their endless love and it was a true honor to assist in the making of this day.
Rainbow Chan Weddings would like to sincerely thank Angela and Christopher for placing their reliance on our planners and coordinators to help them create the most unforgettable day of their lives. The privilege to plan and coordinate every element of this special and heartfelt celebration was a great success for our team, and we know that Angela and Christopher will remember their beautiful wedding day for years to come. It was an incredible honor to work with them to bring their vision to reality, and we hope that our work will allow them to remember this heartfelt chapter of their lives together forever.
