The team at Rainbow Chan Weddings & Events was thrilled to have the opportunity to plan the fabulous wedding of Cindy and Jeff at the beautiful Graydon Hall Manor. This early fall celebration took place on October 5, 2018. Planning and coordinating Cindy and Jeff’s wedding day was an absolute delight for our team. Our wedding planners were responsible for bringing the whole day together, creating the itinerary and making sure everyone stayed on schedule. This bride definitely had a vision for her big day – she made all of the design and décor decisions herself and even hand crafted many of the décor items, from centerpieces to donut wall! We loved helping Cindy bring her vision to life.

Preparations for this full-day celebration started bright and early. Both bride and groom spent the morning getting ready with their nearest and dearest. Photographers from Avanew Studio captured some heartwarming moments of the getting ready process including fun details like the “Miss to Mrs” license plate that the bride had made. Cindy is of Chinese heritage, so she had two stunning looks for her wedding – one was the traditional Chinese dress, and the other was her beautiful white wedding gown. Once everyone was ready, the Chinese door games were held at the bride’s home – always a wonderful way to integrate tradition into the big day!  After the door games, everyone settled in for a low-key family lunch, which would be followed by an outfit change and then a “first look” in the white wedding gown. This first look was extra special, because it took place at a park immediately behind the bride’s home – a very special place for her and her family. After the first look, the whole group headed to the beautiful Alexander Muir gardens for some group photos.

Meanwhile, the Rainbow Chan wedding coordinators were busy at work setting up the stunning reception room and outdoor ceremony space at Graydon Hall. This creative bride knew exactly the look she was going for, and handmade some lovely centerpiece accents and floral garlands to use around the reception and ceremony spaces. Guests were all handed confetti cups for the recessional. This pair truly personalized every detail, and it was a fun and unique experience for our wedding planners to execute their unique vision.

The outdoor ceremony was straight out of a fairytale. The long aisle leading away from the manor into the gardens is so magical, especially in the fall. Our wedding planners loved watching each member of the bridal party take the walk towards the ceremony. Two of the groomsmen formed an acoustic duo and played an array of classic love songs as the bridal party entered the space. The trio of flower girls and ring bearer adorably carried an “Uncle Jeff, here comes your bride!” sign. The bride’s white ballgown style wedding dress complimented the classical architecture of the manor house perfectly. This ceremony was one for the books!

Post-ceremony, the Rainbow Chan team led the family photo session, which was followed by cocktails and eventually the beautiful candle-lit reception. Rich, warm-toned florals tied the décor to the season, and fun details like a stunning dessert table and homemade donut wall guaranteed that all guests enjoyed the evening. A groomsman and bridesmaid served as the Masters of Ceremony, and the majority of the reception was delivered in two languages to ensure all guests could enjoy. The thank-you toast from this bride and groom made sure there wasn’t a dry-eye in the house! Even the wedding planners were tearing up! The sparkler-lit first dance on the terrace was magical and fantastic for photos. The entire event was topped off with a wild dance party on the lower level of Graydon Hall Manor. This celebration filled day was an absolute joy to plan! Whenever two different cultures merge, there are often many traditional elements that the couple wants to incorporate into their special day. This is where the Rainbow Chan planning packages come in handy. We adored the end result of this love-filled day, and wish nothing but happiness to Cindy and Jeff as they begin their life together! It was a privilege for our team to be part of their wedding and we hope they’ll look back on it fondly for many years to come.
