Being involved in Cynthia and Sean’s beautiful nuptials was a privilege. These two are such a fun and unique couple with an adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit. These frequent travellers and owners of multiple businesses were so much fun to have as clients. They knew what they wanted – a venue with a romantic European feel and attention to the tiniest details. Rainbow Chan’s team of wedding planners delivered – we loved helping this bride and groom tie everything together and ensure the day went off flawlessly with our partial wedding planning package.
The wedding coordination began early on an August morning in Oakville and Kitchener, where the venue, Hacienda Sarria is located. The bride and her entourage stayed the night before to make getting ready a breeze. Photographers captured some quiet moments before the day’s festivities, including the bride’s custom made Italian shoes and wedding gown. The groom’s group headed to the venue once everyone was ready. The pair had their romantic first look on the terrace in the August sunshine. Following the first look and some photos, the harpist and guests began to arrive for the ceremony. Pink floral arches adorned the end of the aisle, and the airy outdoor space was nothing short of idyllic. This always-unique pair even included their dogs in their ceremony! Group photos happened next, and then everyone proceeded into the stunning reception space, where this creative pair made sure to entertain the crowd! The bride and her bridesmaids performed a dance, and the groom serenaded Cynthia with the classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Cynthia and Sean put so much thought and care into the tiniest details of this event, and so our wedding coordinators and planners knew that we needed to make sure that each element was perfectly executed, from the custom made gift bags to the event design and styling. This couple, along with the Rainbow Chan wedding coordinators selected Hacienda Sarria for its uniqueness. Neutral tones and illusion of being outdoors give this space a distinctly Eurpoean feel – this reception space could be at the centre of a quaint Italian town. Hundreds of pink and white roses and hydrangeas adorned the tables at varying heights, complete with beautiful and ornate gold flower stands. The pink floral arches that were used during the ceremony were incorporated into this space as well. The pairing of these flowers with the architecture looked stunning behind the sweetheart table. Overhead, twinkle lights set the mood. Pink linens with a French tulle overlay created a soft, romantic aesthetic, enhanced by tons of candlelight. Chandeliers and draping tied everything together. The end result was old-world charming, but with many romantic and modern twists.
