At Rainbow Chan Weddings and Events, one of the top wedding planners and coordinators in Toronto, our goal is always to create beautiful and lasting memories for our clients. Being involved in Emma and Xi’s romantic and intimate wedding was a privilege. Emma and Xi gave our wedding planners a fantastic opportunity to plan an event that was a little out of the ordinary. There were only 32 guests in total, and venue was a beautiful private residence in the Bridle Path area of Toronto. This laid back and easy-going pair really wanted their nuptials to reflect their unique personalities and be lots of fun for their guests. The wedding coordinators had to get creative with finding a venue that would achieve this intimate “cottage” feel – somewhere where the whole group can spend a laid back weekend together.
One of the wonderful aspects of this wedding was that the couple as well as their wedding party was able to stay at the venue the night before the wedding, which made getting ready a breeze. Photographers captured some quiet moments before the day’s festivities, including the gorgeous gown and shoes, boutonnieres and ceremony set up. The romantic first look took place atop the estate’s staircase, overlooking the reception space. Next, everyone headed outdoors into the late spring sunshine to take some more photos in front of the beautiful European style arches. The pink accents from the bridesmaid dresses and bouquets beautifully complimented the terracotta brick. The immense greenery of this estate served as a stunning natural backdrop for group photos. Using this unique space provided some amazing opportunities for couple photos, like the ones by the indoor pool. We definitely don’t see this type of photo opportunity everyday! A late afternoon ceremony followed the photo sessions. Sweet Woodruff adorned an elegantly draped arch with flowers, and covered the ground in petals. Giant, stunning pastel arrangements flanked the aisle. Post-ceremony, everyone headed into the estate’s gorgeous foyer space, which our wedding planners selected for its beautiful high ceilings and natural light. The lower level of the house provided an excellent space for the party to continue late into the night, and the couple didn’t even have to leave! They stayed over and took advantage of this beautiful rental.
The Bridle Path estate presented a unique challenge to our wedding planners. It meant we had to think out of the box – a traditional venue was not what this pair was looking for, so this luxurious rental saved the day! The fantastic thing about using a venue like this is that the couple was able to make all of the selections – there are no restrictions. For this wedding, the wedding planners coordinated the caterer, the furniture and the décor. The always fabulous Encore catering provided a gorgeous three-course dinner. Romantic floating candles and seasonally appropriate pastel coloured arrangements courtesy of Sweet Woodruff adorned the tables, completing the airy, laid back aesthetic of this unique celebration. Our wedding planners made sure to attend to every detail – including each table setting. Blush napkins, gold-rimmed stemware and gold cutlery added a little something extra, and worked beautifully with the overall colour scheme.
The Rainbow Chan wedding coordinators were thrilled with the result of this venue selection and planning, and are thrilled that Emma and Xi loved it as well. The opportunity to plan every detail of this unique and elegant soiree was a dream for our team, and we know that Emma and Xi will look back on their wedding day for years and years to come. We wish them nothing but happiness, joy and love in their lives together!
